Why do I have to confirm my order? Fraud and duplicate-order checks
Sometimes, orders are flagged for manual review due to potential fraud or duplicate orders. This is a precautionary measure to protect both you and ABU from unauthorized transactions or accidental duplicate purchases.
Why is my order flagged?
Your order may have unusual activity that triggers our fraud detection system.
The system may detect similarities with a previous order, suggesting a possible duplicate.
Is the email genuine?
If you receive an email with the subject '[ACTION REQUIRED] Please confirm order ' or '[ACTION REQUIRED] We believe your order has been duplicated', it is a genuine request from ABU. The email will not ask for sensitive information like passwords or payment details. It will only request confirmation of your recent order.
How do I confirm my order?
To confirm your order, simply reply to the email confirming that you placed the order. This helps us verify that the transaction is legitimate.
How long is my order held?
Your order will be held for 72 hours pending confirmation. If you do not respond within this timeframe, the order may be canceled to prevent unauthorized transactions.
What happens if there is no reply?
If we do not receive a confirmation within 72 hours, the order may be automatically canceled. This is to ensure your protection against potential fraud.
How does ABU handle a genuine duplicate order?
If an order is confirmed as a genuine duplicate, ABU will contact you to discuss options. You can choose to cancel the duplicate order or keep it. If a second charge has already been processed, we will issue a refund for the duplicate order upon your request.
