Available in all regions

When placing an international order with ABUniverse, it's important to understand how customs, duties, VAT, and import fees are handled. This guide will help clarify these processes for different regions.

Collection of Duties and VAT

  • At Checkout: In some regions, duties and VAT are collected at checkout. This means you pay these fees upfront when you place your order, and there should be no additional charges upon delivery.

  • On Delivery: In other regions, duties and VAT are collected upon delivery. The carrier will contact you for payment before your package is released. Be prepared to pay these fees to receive your order.

Who Pays Duties and VAT?

The customer is responsible for paying any applicable duties and VAT. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping costs unless specified during checkout.

When a Carrier Asks for Customs Information

If a carrier contacts you for additional customs information, respond promptly to avoid delays. They may need a confirmation of duties and VAT payment. Provide the requested information to facilitate customs clearance.

What Happens if Fees Are Refused?

If you refuse to pay the required duties and VAT, your parcel may be returned to ABUniverse. In such cases, the order may be subject to a restocking fee, and shipping costs may not be refunded.
